Who Are We?

The Blackmore Group is a Real Estate Investment House, built to be an institutional, yet dynamic company capable of maximising market opportunities by combining a blend of investment management experience and real estate expertise. Having grown rapidly, we are committed and equipped to build Blackmore into one of the largest and most innovative firms in Real Estate Investment Management.

Blackmore believe we are set apart from competitors with our in house expertise and experience, as well as with our key industry partners, meaning we have access to truly off market opportunities, and our projects are painstakingly researched, independently analysed and verified at multiple stages of the process.

Key Personnel

The Blackmore Group is headed up by Patrick McCreesh and Phillip Nunn, both with many years’ experience in investment management and real estate in the UK and globally. The Group Chairman is Kenneth ‘Buzz’ West, an FCA regulated financial services professional, with vast experience in the sector, managing two previous companies to over £4bn of assets. Blackmore’s Head of Real Estate is Ricky Poonia, who joined the Group from BNP Paribas where he was Head of Capital Markets and Investment. Ricky is RICS certified, and gives Blackmore unparalleled access to off market high growth opportunities.

Kenneth ‘Buzz’ West
Chairman
A former Army officer Buzz spent 15 years with Reuters, the global News and Financial Information company where he latterly ran the Middle East & Africa from Bahrain. Kenneth went on to develop an interest in Private Equity mainly in the fields of Natural Resources & Technology both in Europe and the USA.He co founded and chaired the AIM listed UK Wealth Manager, Ashcourt Rowan Plc which sold to Towry. He was chairman of the Loss Adjustors, GAB Robins, taking them from a Managment Buy Out to successful sale to the USA based Crawford & Co. He is also an advisor to a number of technology companies where he has significant interests, these being in specialist lighting for the food production industry and in airport telematics. He is chairman of the AIM listed Wealth manager Kingswood Ltd which operates under the KW Wealth brand.
Philip Nunn
CEO

Phillip is one of the UK’s leading figures and educators in the blockchain/cryptocurrency space. A regular speaker on the worldwide circuit, Phillip’s modus operandi is based on bridging the gap between traditional financial markets, real estate and digital assets, and his no-nonsense understandable methodology is a big hit with institutions aiming to understand the space and become investors. Day to day, the Co-Founder of the Blackmore Group a global real estate hedge fund, with a forward-thinking strategy focused on digitising one of the worlds oldest and most established industries.

Patrick McCreesh
CEO

Investment expert Patrick McCreesh is CEO of The Blackmore Group. He began his career in the private banking arm of Lloyds, before building wealth management firms throughout the UK and Europe. Patrick is a specialist in structuring and driving company growth, fully committed to taking the Blackmore Group into the top ten real estate companies in the UK.

Ricky Poonia
Head of Real Estate
Ricky Poonia leads the Real Estate team at The Blackmore Group, where he works collaboratively with our team, partners and stakeholders to identify the very best strategic development, investment and joint-venture opportunities for our multi-asset investment house.
Ricky is responsible for strengthening relationships with key investors and partners, building the company’s reputation in capital markets and growing Blackmore’s real estate arm.

He is a Chartered Surveyor with a wealth of expertise delivering complex and value driven real estate led deals. With his experience having been in strategic investment and capital market deals, underwriting and corporate governance.Prior to joining the Group, he was Head of the Residential Capital Markets & Investment Team at BNP Paribas Real Estate, which he established in January 2016. There he advised on several forward funding and forward commitment projects, predominately focusing on the emerging Private Rented Sector and the Purpose-Built Student Accommodation sector.
